Accident Blackspots

Our mast photography can be used for recording accident blackspots. The road layout and markings are clearly visible on the photographs along with any obstructions to sight lines.

Such aerial photographs can be used by a number of different people and for various reasons.

Insurance Companies - their claims consultants can quickly check the validity of the claim by referring to the photographs held of accident blackspots against sketches of the scene and witness statement.

Vehicle Fleet Operators - Such companies can benefit from photographs of accident blackspots. They can advise their drivers of the problems associated with accident blackspots during driver training and in driver manuals - example where a bus driver has to cross over a number of lanes of traffic when leaving a bus top in order to turn at a set of lights. Tram drivers can be alerted to junctions where drivers of other vehicles fail to give way.

The use of Elevated Photography using our system reduces downtime of vehicles taken off the road due to accidents, reduces insurance premiums and can also identify particular vehicle maneuver which are too dangerous, resulting in a new route being determined.
