Health and Safety

There are two areas associated with health and safety - after and before an event has occurred.

The "after" is when an accident or incident has occurred and where a person has been injured / killed or where damage has been caused to property. An aerial view of the scene often helps tie in various factors which are some distance apart on the ground, e.g. obstructions, fixed objects, racking etc. We can provide such photography both inside and outside. These photographs can be a valuable tool in piecing together various eyewitness statements.

"Before" is suitable for supporting photographs during safety audits. Aerial photographs often show up potential hazards which could be missed during an inspection at ground level ; e.g. storage of flammable goods on adjoining land which is controlled by another party. Potential problems can be identified and the associated risks eliminated.

Such aerial photographs can also be a valuable training aid. New employees can be given a set of aerial photographs showing various items of plant and escape routes. Maintenance personnel can also be shown the area of the site to which they are to carry out maintenance works in.

A set of photographs is also ideal to record the site as it is. If there is an incident in the future which destroys part of the building or plant, the set of record photographs can be used for HSE investigation and insurance negotiations.
